Alabama is a fisherman's paradise. From freshwater fishing all over the state to salt water fishing in the Gulf of Mexico, Alabama offers something for almost every angler.
Spend some quality time with family and friends on one of Alabama reservoirs, or enjoy the tranquility of fishing an Alabama mountain stream or quiet wetland. Our public fishing lakes are great places to experience the thrill of catching big largemouth bass or bream - all in a beautiful setting.
Alabama has 47reservoirs larger than 500 acres, 23 public fishing Lakes, thousands of ponds, and 77,000 miles of perennial rivers and streams leading to the always lively Mobile Delta. With all of those possibilities, you're sure to find a great spot to cast a line.
If saltwater fishing is more your speed, then Fort Morgan, Gulf Shores, and Orange Beach are for you. You can fish in the surf, or from the State Pier, or charter a boat and head a few miles out for deep sea fishing. Whatever you choose, saltwater fishing on the coast is always exciting and sure to please.
Go fishing in Alabama and you can bring home more than just fish, you'll also have some great memories and a tale or two to share with your friends.
