Rent a horse and saddle up to ride at places like: Shady Grove Dude Ranch in Mentone, Doublehead Resort or 3H Stables in Huntsville, Apple Hills Cabins near Andalusia, Heart of Dixie Trail Ride in Troy, Hidden Creek Ranch in Sterrett, Tannehill Trails in McCalla or Oak Hollow Farm in Fairhope. You can also bring your own horse to ride on these trails. However, the following trails are for people with their own horse exclusively. Ride with your fellow equestrians at: Bear John Hollow Ranch in Asheville, Circle S Stables in Beaverton, Fort Rucker Equestrian Center, K. C. Ranch and Stable in Double Springs, Riverbend Trail Ride in Myrtlewood, Bankhead National Forest in Double Springs, Talladega National Forest in Heflin, Tuskegee National Forest, Seven Springs Lodge in Tuscumbia, Walls of Jericho in Hytop, Faye Whittemore Farms in Jasper and Cherokee Trailride in its namesake. For the frontier men and women at heart, participate in a trail ride on the 10-day-long "Alabama Wagon Train." |
