Vineyards and wineries in Alabama? Yes, there are! We are so full of surprises, aren't we? There are quite a number of wineries here, most of which make a special type of wine from muscadine grapes native to the Southeast. Many wineries are also having good luck with French hybrid grapes. Wine production is a growing interest in Alabama, with many bottlers hosting special festive events during the harvest season.

Some Alabama-made wines are available at retail outlets, but state regulations make this difficult for small wineries. This means that their products are sometimes only available at on-site gift shops – a fact that only makes a visit to one of our wineries even more special. You can shop, sip and see the lush vineyards in all their glory.
