Adventureland Theme Park – Dothan
This park includes two 18-hole miniature golf courses, a go-cart track, bumper boats, batting cages, a game room, and a snack bar. (November–March: Monday–Friday noon–10 p.m., Saturday 10 a.m.–midnight, Sunday noon–10 p.m.; rest of year: Monday–Saturday 10 a.m.–midnight, Sunday noon–midnight)

Point Mallard Park – Decatur
Located on the Tennessee River, this 749-acre park features a swimming pool, wave pool, waterslide, beach (mid-May–Labor Day); hiking, bicycle trails, 18-hole golf course, tennis courts, indoor ice rink, camping (hookups) and a recreation center. There is a fee for the activities.

Magic Adventure Theme Park and Splash Beach Water Park – Bessemer
Visionland is now two parks and features more than 50 acres of rides, shows and attractions. Located I-20/59W at Exit 108-Birmingham. Open daily May–August; weekends only April, September and October.

Surfside Water Park – Auburn
This water theme park features a wave pool, speed slides, body flumes, lazy river, children's area, picnic area, volleyball, showers, lockers, food court and a gift shop. I-85, Exit 51, on Hwy. 29. Open Memorial Day–August 17, 10–7; weekends only August 17–Labor Day.

Adventure Island – Orange Beach

Water World – Dothan
Providing water recreation for the entire family, this park has a wave pool, triple-flume waterslide, kiddie pool, video arcade, souvenir shop and mouthwatering concessions. Open May 3-29 weekends only; starting May 30: Monday, Wednesday and Friday 10 a.m.–6 p.m., Tuesday and Thursday 10 a.m.–9 p.m., Saturday 10 a.m.–7 p.m., Sunday noon–7.

Waterville USA – Gulf Shores
You'll not only find waves in the ocean in Gulf Shores, but also at Waterville U.S.A. The 20-acre amusement and water park features a wave pool, the Kamikaze, a 55-foot waterslide where you descend at 40 feet per second, an 1,800-foot-long lazy river, and the Gulf Coast's longest tube ride, the Great White.

Located in the northwest community of Guin, this place packs big fun into a small park. It consists of two waterslides, a baby pool and swimming pool.

Spring Valley Beach – Blountsville
Spring Valley Beach features one of the largest swimming pools in the Southeast. Plus the three waterslides offer something for everyone. The "Sidewinder" is for the daredevils, while the "Chiller" will satisfy those with the need for speed. An aboveground slide, the "Circle S," is also available. Pay one price to ride all three slides as much as you can stand! Open seasonally.

Directions from Birmingham
Take I-59 and exit at Tallapoosa Street, Hwy. 79 North. Keep traveling on Hwy. 79; it will turn into Hwy. 231 North. About 2 miles north of Blountsville, at mile marker 270, turn left onto County Road 55, also called Spring Valley Beach Road. The entrance to Spring Valley Beach will be .25 mile on your left. Approximate driving time from Birmingham is 1 hour.
