Muscadine Wine

Recipe Type: Other

Ingredients:
fruit or berries
sugar
Directions:

Clean fruit. Use equal parts water and fruit or berries.  Cut or mash fruit. Boil water and pour over the fruit. Let stand for four days. Strain. Sweeten mixture to taste. Let stand for four to five days more; strain again. (A jelly strainer will produce a clear wine.) If it's not sweet enough, add more sugar. Let stand for six weeks before bottling. (Be sure it's through ''working.'') If you make wine in cool weather, let it stand an extra week before straining.

(It may be made using Alabama grapes, blackberries or plums, if desired.)
