Cajun Frog Legs

Description:
Frog gigging can be an adventure, and it's easily the cheapest hunting endeavor. All you really need is a gig with a pole and a flashlight, Bolton says. Legs are the edible part of this amphibian. Tastes like chicken? Well, some say yes. Truth is, frog legs are a white meat that are pretty tasty.

Ingredients:
  • 20 sets frog legs
  • 2 eggs, well beaten
  • 1 cup flour
  • Vegetable oil
  • 1 large onion, sliced thin
  • Garlic salt, to taste
  • 1 12-ounce jar piquante sauce
  • Water
Directions:

Dip legs in egg mixture, then batter in flour. Pour oil in skillet 1/ 8 inch deep and fry legs until golden brown. Remove legs and drain on paper towel. Slowly add remaining flour and stir until mixture is lightly brown. Add onion and garlic salt and stir until onion softens. Add piquante sauce and stir until oil rises to top. Add water to desired consistency. Place frog legs in mixture and simmer 10 minutes.
