Brunswick Stew

Recipe Type: Main Course
Servings: 10 to 12 servings
 
Ingredients:
  • 4 cups cooked meat (Alabama chicken, pork and/or beef), chopped
  • 2 Alabama onions, chopped
  • 2 stalks celery
  • 4 cups cooked Alabama corn
  • 2 cups cooked Alabama okra
  • 4 cups canned Alabama tomatoes
  • 2 cups cooked Alabama lima beans
  • 1/2 pound butter (or margarine)
  • 3 cups meat stock
  • Salt and pepper to taste
Directions:

Mix chopped meat, vegetables, butter and seasonings with meat stock in a large, heavy saucepan or Dutch oven. Cook slowly over low heat, stirring frequently to prevent scorching. Cook until thick enough to eat with a fork.
