Veterans Day Celebration

Annual Veterans Day celebration in Mobile featuring several free admission events. The day begins with a free 100-plus unit Veterans and Military Appreciation Parade at 10:00am through downtown Mobile, followed at Noon with a Veterans Appreciation Luncheon held at Fort Whiting Auditorium (admission charged - reservations required). The Patriot of the Year and Mobile Area Veteran of the Year are honored at this event. At 3:00pm at USS ALABAMA Battleship Memorial Park, a Freedom Celebration (no admission charge) is annually held, featuring a parade of American flags by Mobile's school children. The day concludes with a free Patriotic Concert by the Mobile Pops Band surrounded by historic aircraft from the past 7 decades in the Aircraft Pavilion at Battleship Memorial Park.
