Big Spring Park--The arts come alive through music, dance, theater, prestidigitation, and visual art demos, performances, and interactive activities at the Panoply Arts Festival, held the last full weekend in April (April 23-25, 2010) in downtown’s Big Spring International Park and Von Braun Center. Free hands-on arts activities unleash your child’s inner artistic abilities, while the Art Marketplace is the perfect arena to enhance – or launch – your own collection. A cornucopia of national, regional, and local talent burst upon six performing stages...and the food is exceptional! Returning are the Official Alabama State Fiddling Championship, the Global Village (a doorway to our area’s diverse international culture), and competitions in “homegrown” talent, choreography, photography, and 10-Minute Playwriting.
