The Moundville Native American Festival celebrates the arts, culture and life ways of Southeastern Indians, past and present. With some 26 earthen pyramidal mounds serving as a backdrop, festival features include a living history encampment, demonstration arbors, a children's hands-on area and an arts market. Interpretations of the site's prehistory and archaeology are featured during school days and performances by award winning Native American musicians, dancers and storytellers run throughout the event. The Moundville Native American Festival offers full ranges of fine arts, crafts and souvenirs for sale as well as Native American foods and regular concessions. Group discounts are available.
